Characteristics:
She is imperfect but knows that Christ’s blood alone has atoned for all her imperfections and has made her complete and whole. (I Corinthians 1:28, Philippians 3:9, II Corinthians 12:7-9, Romans 8)
She is strong enough to have a submissive, tender, teachable, and moldable heart. (Pslams 51:17)
She is bold enough to confidently walk out God’s calling in her life. (2 Timothy 1:10, 1 Peter 2:9, Matthew 28:19-20)
Her life is fruitful, full of Christ’s joy, and full of His power. (Psalms 1:3, John 7:38,Romans 15:13, Psalms 27:14, John 16:33, James 1:2, I Peter 1:8, Galatians 6:9)
She desires to see others come to know Jesus the way she does. Her worldview is Kingdom focused. (Romans 1:16, Romans 10:1)
She knows that she is a work in progress, being shaped more and more into the image of Jesus by a God who loves her and has a good plan and purpose for her. (Romans 8:29, Colossians 3:10, Ephesians 4:24, Jeremiah 29:11)
She knows she is a part of the greater body of believers and has a role in God’s kingdom mission here on earth. (1 Corinthians 12:12-27)
What she does:
She takes risks—even fails sometimes, but since her righteousness is in Christ, she doesn’t strive to prove or protect herself.
She speaks life-giving words of encouragement, praise, and thanksgiving to bless, honor, and edify others and Christ. (Ephesians 4:29, I Thessalonians 5:16-18)
She divinely influences those around her, blessing her family and community. (John 15:17, John 13:34, Daniel 12:3)
She shares the gospel with others in word and in deed.(Matthew 28:19-20, Acts 1:8)
She builds up her sisters in Christ and help them in their faith journey. 1 Thessalonians 5:11)
How she does it:
She daily recognizes her dependence on the Holy Spirit to empower her. She does not run on adrenaline, a strong will, or an “I can do it!” mentality. Instead, she ministers, speaks, makes decisions, and acts through the power of the Holy Spirit. (Colossions 2:6-10, John 15:4-5)
She partners with other believers, loving them as Jesus and welcoming them into her family and into her community. (I Thessalonians 5:11, Psalms 133:1, Ephesians 5:19-20, Ephesians 4:2-3, Ephesians 4:12-13, I Corinthians 12:14-15, Hebrews 10:24-25, Matthew 18:20, Proverbs 19:20).
She relies on prayer and the study of God’s Word as catalysts to grow in her relationship with Christ. (James 5:16, Psalms 66:16-20, Romans 8:26, 27, Proverbs 15:29, James 5:16, Philippians 4:6,7, )
She seeks first His Kingdom and His righteousness.(Matthew 6:33).
