Our Statement of Faith

The SCRIPTURES, both Old and New Testaments, are God's revelation to man, inspired by the Holy Spirit and written down by human authors. As the inspired Word of God, they are the infallible and authoritative rule of faith and conduct. (2 Tim. 3:15-17; 1 Thess. 2:13; 2 Peter 1:21; Heb. 4:12)

The ONE TRUE GOD has revealed Himself as the eternally existent One, the Creator of heaven and earth and the Redeemer of mankind. He has further revealed Himself as one God existing as three Persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. (Deut. 6:4; Isa. 43:10-11; Matt. 28:19; Luke 3:22; 1 Cor.  8:6)

JESUS CHRIST is the eternal Son of God. He became flesh, was born of a virgin, lived a sinless life, worked miracles, died on the cross for our sins, rose bodily from the dead, has been exalted to the right hand of God, and will return one day to establish his Kingdom on earth. (John 1:1-14; Matt. 1:23; Luke 1:31; Luke 1:35; Heb. 7:26; 1 Peter 2:22; Acts 2:22; Acts 10:38; 1 Cor. 15:3; 2 Cor. 5:21; Matt. 28:6; Luke 24:39; 1 Cor. 15:4; Acts 1:9; Acts 1:11; Acts 2:33; Phil. 2:9-11; Heb 1:3; Zech 14:5; Matt. 24:27; Matt. 24:30; Rev. 1:7; Rev. 19:11-14; Rev. 20:1-6)

The HOLY SPIRIT is the eternal living Spirit of God. He indwells all believers, bringing assurance of salvation and empowering believers for holy living. He imparts spiritual gifts for building up the Body of Christ and provides spiritual power for witnessing to the world. (Luke 24:49; Acts 1:8; Rom. 8:15-17; 1 Cor. 6:19; 1 Cor. 12:1-31)

SIN is voluntary transgression against the laws of God. Humans were created good and upright but fell by sinning against God, and thereby incurred not only physical death but spiritual death, which is separation from God. Since that original fall into sin, every human has sinned and fallen short of God's glory, leaving them in need of a Savior. (Gen. 1:26-27; Gen. 2:16-17; Gen. 3:1-24; Rom. 3:23; Rom. 6:23; Rom. 5:12-19)

SALVATION is found in Jesus Christ alone, provided through his blood shed on the cross, and received through repentance toward God and faith toward the Lord Jesus Christ. It is by grace believers are saved, through faith, and not by works. Salvation in Jesus Christ brings forgiveness from sin, justification before God, regeneration and renewal by the Holy Spirit, and the promise of eternal life. (John 3:16; John 14:6; Acts 4:12; Acts 20:21; Eph. 2:8-9; Titus 3:4-7; 1 John 1:8-9

The CHURCH is the Body of Christ in which God dwells by his Spirit and is made up of all true believers without regard to human denominations, social structures, or ethnic diversities. (Matt. 16:18; Gal.  3:28; Eph. 1:22-23; Eph. 2:21-22; Col.  3:15; Heb. 12:22-24)

ETERNAL LIFE in God's presence is promised to all who are saved by God's grace through faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, while ETERNAL CONDEMNATION and separation from God await the wicked who reject God's salvation. (John 3:16; Rom. 6:23; 1 Thess. 4:13-18; Rev.  20:11-15; Rev. 21-22)

CHRISTIAN MORALITY AND RELATIONSHIPS are defined and governed by the Bible, which is our all- sufficient and authoritative rule of faith and conduct.
